“I am an Ordinary woman…a mom, wife, daughter, friend, blogger, Civil Engineer and trying to find a balance of it all.”
Hey I am Bilna Sandeep. After taking a career break and being a Stay At Home Mom for almost 2 years, I recently got back to work.
My everyday life revolved around our bundle of joy until I got back to work last month.
This is how my everyday schedule as a Stay At Home Mom looked like.
He runs, I run, he cries, I break, he screams, I scream louder, he plays, I play, he naps, I blog. Yes that’s when I found my time to blog. (If you were ever wondering)
And if you are keen to know how my life was before SB… you might need to hear a long story…
My Story in a Few lines:
I am a Civil Engineer by profession and a mother of a naughty little three-year-old boy! On a pleasant day morning, when my boy was a few months old , I realised I wanted to take a break and wanted to be with my boy through all his little milestones. And I Did! For the next two years of my life both of us had a blast spending every second together at our home in Abu Dhabi and traveling occasionally. And two years later my boy is now in Pre-School and I am back in my office. This blog was born somewhere in between, documenting our daily lives, sharing my love for helping people I come across, especially in helping out other moms like me who wanted find their own voice and pursue their passion.
And before we proceed to my long story, shall we be friends?

The Long Story:
(Warning: Go ahead only if you have enough patience to do so )
After I had completed my Engineering from Kerala, I worked for some time in Bahrain and India and later got married to Sandeep, who is a Mechanical Engineer in Abu Dhabi. I moved to Abu Dhabi in 2011 after getting married and worked in Abu Dhabi for some time after which we were both blessed with a little boy Sree Bharath (yes SB stands for Sree Bharath, I am not keeping it a secret like most mommy bloggers do, It’s really not that difficult to find it out anyway). Currently, we are a happy family of 3 residing in Abu Dhabi.
My Life as a blogger began in 2010, during the final year of my college, when I accidentally started a blog all about my musings and random ramblings. I blogged by the name Cindrella at Cindrella’s Expressions. When life took its serious turn, immersed in life’s changes, marriage, career and finally being a working mom, I left my old blog somewhere in the old worn out closets.
In October 2014, when I finally quit my career to enjoy every moment of motherhood, I decided on getting back to the blog world. So here is the start up of the Blog Monsoon Breeze.
Initially, I began this blog just for time pass. I blogged during my free time to keep me connected with the world around. Later on, this blog became an obsession for me. I began to be more of an organized person just to fit in some time every day for my blog. More on my blog story later…Stay tuned.
Here’s my detailed post on “Why Do I Blog?”
Life as a Stay At Home Mom (SAHM)
After I had quit my full-time career, I realized something was missing in my life. Though I enjoyed being around my son, I wanted to do something productive with the time I spend at home. There are many SAHMs around here in UAE. Many of them quit their job for their family, or lack of opportunities, or the pay being not worth the amount of time they spend away from kids. I realized many of them are super talented. Some of them do their home based businesses. But for some it’s the lack of enough motivation and encouragement or the fear of failure that puts them down. Through my blog, I would love to make every effort to help these ladies find their way out. everyone of you has a Gifted Talent. It’s up to you to find your worth.
If you would like to know, what inspired me to quit my Full Time career to be a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom, here’s the story. If you are ever confused on choosing between career and motherhood, here’s the Top 10 Questions you need to ask Yourself before you opt to be a SAHM)

I have always admired women who decide to be the boss of their own lives. My admiration lead to starting an Interview series on my blog named “The Lady Entrepreneur” featuring all women entrepreneurs on the blog. This lead to so many more Stay At Home Mom Readers of the blog being very much inspired by their stories and many of them came forward asking for more business ideas.

Like most girls, I used to be a Daddy’s Lil Princess who refused to learn cooking. I took my mom’s cooking for granted. And I was (still, is) one of the laziest persons you would ever find. So I began to find out Quick and Easy Recipes that would save myself, hubby and our little one from Eating Unhealthy. Being a big foodie, I am always behind good taste. But the laziness factor motivates me to experiment and come up with recipes that are quick, easy and tasty. Check out the Recipe Index of the blog here. I am sure you would find some great stuff if you too have those lazy hormones like mine 🙂
I am not a great photographer yet. But recently I have developed a keen interest in it, especially in Photographing food. When I am out eating, I usually take snaps with my Samsung Galaxy E7 or hubby’s I-phone. These are very much convenient as we always carry our mobile phones around. Once in a while, I travel around with my Point and Shoot Sony Cybershot Digital Camera (ordinary digital camera) which I find it easy to carry around. Most of the Recipe Photos have been taken with My Sony Cybershot.
Lately, I have developed an interest into DSLRs, and now I am experimenting with my DSLR model from Nikon, D-3200.
